Chestnut, 16 hands, 1200 pounds; foaled about 1864; breH by E. D. Graves, Petra, Mo. ; got by Trojan, son of Jackson's Flying Cloud : dam Red Bird, chestnut, said to be by Saltram, son of Blackburn's Whip ; 2d dam by Blacknose, son of Medoc, by imported Diomed ; and 3d dam by Kosciusko, son of Sir Archy. Kept in Saline Co., Mo., until 1881 ; then taken to Montana, where he died, 1882. Trotted in about 2:40.
