Looking for a non-competitive adventure on your Morgan horse? Try trail riding! Nature at its best as only seen from the back of a wonderful Morgan horse! Morgans can do it all, and according to surveys, 80 percent of the AMHA membership enjoys recreational riding on a Morgan horse.

 "The value of the gaited Morgan includes first of all the values of the Morgan horse in general...beauty and temperament. As a trail horse, the gaited Morgan has become the only way to go for us. After 4 or 5 hours in the saddle, when you are ready to head back to camp and get out of the saddle, it is a real advantage to have that "gaited gear" to kick in and hurry home. The gait of the gaited Morgan can vary, but  the singlefoot is the best of the best, and if you ride a gaited Morgan that does a good singlefoot on the trail, your body will thank you. There is just nothing quite like zooming down an old logging road, through a pine forest in a smooth singlefoot gait, which can be equivalent in speed to a canter, but requires no effort by, and creates no impact upon the rider. The horse performs this gait effortlessly and completely naturally. The response from other riders on the trail and in camp is very positive and they are amazed that there is such a thing as a gaited Morgan.
