BEAMINGTON 16635

Beamington at the 1971 Nationals

World Champion Stallion Park English Stallions 15 hands & over Five year old and over stallions - 1971 Nationals

Beamington (Mr. Breezy Cobra x Ellen Bar) died March 4, 1982 of hemorrhagic lung disorder. He was 16 years old.

Beamington was bred by Mr. and Mrs. L.S. Greenwalt of Pawnee, Illinois, who shared ownership of the horse during his early years with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Long of Johnstown, New York. He was shown extensively in his youth in-hand, in harness, and under saddle. His show career was capped in 1973 by his victory, with Doris Ryan at the lines, in one of the most hotly contested park harness classes ever - the Park Harness Stake at the First Grand National Morgan Horse Show in Detroit, Michigan.

In 1974, Beamington was sold to Judith C. Carlberg, and later became the property of Omni Enterprises of West Virginia, Inc.

At his death, he was one of the most popular breeding stallions in the country.
