His show career began in 1997 as "Byzy" stormed the Oklahoma ring for his first time. He was crowned WC Yearling Colt and WC Futurity Yearling Colt, as the years followed Byzy garnered such titles as the 1998 WC Futurity Two Year Old Stallion, 1999 WC Three Year old Park Harness and RWC Futurity Three Year Old Park Harness, 2000 as a Four Year Old Byzy was Crowned Park Harness World Champion. In 2001 he was RWC Amateur Park Harness, in 2002 he returned to claim the RWC Park Harness title. In 2005 Byzy made his saddle debut that culminated in him winning the English Pleasure World Championship. In 2007 under the new ownership of Playmor Farm, Byzy came out as the Amateur Pleasure Driving RWC. Byzantine has now joined the ranks as a premier breeding stallion with such notable offspring as: Stonecroft After Midnight the 2002 WC Futurity Yearling Colt and 2007 WC Classic Pleasure Saddle Ladies; CBMF Mozambique the 2004 WC Junior Gelding, WC Futurity Two-Year-Old Gelding, 2005-2006 RWC Junior Classic Pleasure Driving, and 2007 RWC Classic Pleasure Driving Ladies; Halle Berry was the 2004 WC Junior Mare and RWC Futurity Two-Year-Old Mare; Libretto’s Bravado was 2005 RWC Futurity Classic Pleasure Driving and WC Classic Pleasure Driving Junior Horse, 2006 WC Ladies Classic Pleasure Driving, and 2007 WC Classic Pleasure Driving Masters: Byzantine has produced many champion offspring too many to mention, but passes on the qualities that are highly coveted in the breed today.
