Save the second week in September to "Celebrate the Morgan". This is the second year for our nationwide effort to promote and market the Morgan horse and AMHA will be on board to support participants. Last year we had over 50 "Celebration" events occurring in over 30 states and this year we want to exceed those numbers. Stay tuned for details to follow in the weeks to come.
Morgan enthusiasts across the country will have open houses, trail rides, breed
demonstrations and many more exciting and education events that will showcase this wonderful horse. You'll find a listing of events across the country below. Everyone is welcome to attend any event!

Celebrate the Morgan Horse This Weekend Sept. 4, 2007, ROCHESTER, IL - The proud heritage of the American Morgan Horse will be on display Sept. 9, 2007, as The Brunk Morgan Horse Museum (BMHM) in Rochester, Ill., along with the Mississippi Valley Morgan Horse Club (MVMHC) will host the area's one and only "Celebrate the Morgan Horse" event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at The Brunk Morgan Horse Museum, 7206 East Lake Services Road (across from Cotton Hill Farm. Follow the KOA signs). The American Morgan Horse Association has declared the weekend of Sept. 8-9 as Celebrate the Morgan Horse weekend. The two organizations have produced an event that is not only welcoming and informative to those unfamiliar with the Morgan horse but also interesting and entertaining to those who share a life-long love of the Morgan horse. The BMHM is also displaying its rich farming history as well as showcasing its long and storied association and love of the Morgan horse.
This event is free and open to the public and attendees are urged to bring lawn chairs.
A sampling of some of the day's highlights include the food vendors and the Brunk grounds opening at 12:30 p.m. for viewing; a "Celebrate the Morgan"
demonstration and a parade of horses.

The parade is tentatively set to begin at 10:00 a.m., and the theme for this year is "Show 'Em Your Royal!" Join the fun as a banner carrier, rider, driver or breed ambassador.
