Dear Region 4 Member,

Spring is here, the horses are emerging from their Winter Coats, and the Show season is in full swing.

I wanted to remind all of you that our Regional Show, The Citrus Cup, is almost here... this week in fact. April 16 - 19 at Canterbury Equestrian Showplace in Newberry, Fla. (Gainesville)

For those of you who are showing...I wish you all the best of luck, I know for some of you this is the first show of the season, and as always the Citrus Cup is destined to be a wonderful event. Great horses, great wonderful people, and an opportunity to enjoy your Morgan Family.

For those of you who don't show...but obviously have a love of this beautiful animal...this is an opportunity to come and enjoy Morgan horses, in a wonderful setting. Before I even considered showing I found myself wandering into Morgan shows in California, New York and Florida. I didn't know a sole but it didn't take long to meet people and make lasting friendships because of our common bond, the Morgan horse.

No matter what discipline, no matter what your preference in the Morgan World...there is something for everyone to enjoy at these shows. Trail Riders will appreciate the trail classes. I know I spend hours logging in hundreds of miles on my trail horses, and yet I am in awe of the trail classes. If Dressage is your interest, it is one of the fastest growing disciplines in our breed and you will definitely enjoy watching our Morgan horses in the Dressage Ring. Carriage Driving, Park Harness or Park Saddle, Western Pleasure, English Pleasure or Hunt Seat...we can do it all.

If you have an interest in coming out and joining the festivities, log on to the Florida Morgan Horse Association web site for more information and the Show Schedule.

Hope to see you there.
