Dear Region 9:
I wanted to share some of the activities coming up in our Region. Some of our clubs have some exciting things going on and I hope you can join in!
The Circle J club will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary Regional Show this year. The show dates are July 3-6, 2008 in Denver. Judges will be Faye Lowry and Tim Roesink with Sandy Sessink joining in for the $30,000 Futurity. Mark your calendars for this event! The 4 Corners Morgan Horse will be hosting a presentation on "Preserving the Traditional Morgan". Nancy Nard is the presenter. This will be Sunday March 16th at 11:30 am in Durango, CO. Please call 970-739-3616 for more information. I know there are lot of Morgan folks down in the 4 corners area so this should be a nice gathering! How about a report and pics for TMH??
The Missouri Valley Morgan Horse Classic Horse Show will be held on May 17th and 18th at the Valley County arena in Ord, NE. Jennifer Rawlinson and Kelsy Avila are the show managers this year. A youth contest will be held with a written test, judging competition and a riding or driving patterm with three divisions. The usual art and literary contest will be held in conjunction with the show and bake sale. Contact herbman99@hotmail.com.
All of these events are exciting and show that we have a variety of offerings and interests in Region 9. I apologize if I have missed any events so please keep me apprised.
