The AMHA Calendar Needs You!Thank you to all who have submitted calendar photos this year! Please keep the photos coming in. In particular we are in need of photos depicting Morgans at work. Moratorium on Fees for Multiple Transfers APPROVED!If you currently own a registered Morgan that is not registered in your name, you may be eligible for a reduction in fees. At the Registry Meeting held on April 30th, 2008 a Moratorium on SOME transfer fees was approved. Anyone holding two or more unrecorded transfers on a registered Morgan is eligible. More>> Back |

Dear Members of the Equestrian Community,This past weekend at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day, Laine Ashker suffered a serious fall during the cross-country stage of the competition. She is currently in critical condition at the University of Kentucky hospital in Lexington. Laine's horse and another involved in a separate accident had to be euthanized. More>> Back |

Scholarship Recipient AnnouncedThe American Morgan Horse Institute (AMHI) is proud to announce that Margaret Bailey of Bath, Maine, has been selected as the recipient of the 2007 van Schaik Dressage Scholarship. To preserve and encourage the classical methods Dr. H. L. M. van Schaik promulgated, AMHI makes an annual award of $1,000 to a Morgan individual wishing to further his or her skill, knowledge, and proficiency in classically ridden Dressage. More>> Back |
