2012 Open Competition Guidelines Online

The guidelines for the 2012 Open Competition Program are online and can be found here. AMHA strives to make this program better each year, and with that, come changes to make all participants succeed and which allow everyone to compete on an equal playing field within their specific division.

All competitors are encouraged to carefully read the general guidelines and the guidelines that pertain to the division in which you compete.

Among the changes are:
• Results must be postmarked within 30 days of the completion of the show, or by the deadline stated on your results form.
• Shows open only to or adjudicated by facility owner, family members, employees, boarders, or owners of horses in training in a single facility are not eligible for year-end or medallion points.
• To ensure a level playing field for all participants, an acceptable show prize list must include: rules and class specifications, dates, times, names of judges/officials and show secretary name and contact information, fees, and prizes.

Also updated for the 2012 competition year are Tables A and B.

All changes will be strictly enforced beginning with the 2012 competition season.
