From the Desk of The Morgan Horse
The February/March issue of The Morgan Horse is at press!
This time of year, many people call AMHA with the question "Where's my magazine?" Remember, The Morgan Horse is no longer a monthly publication; it is published nine times a year, a schedule that has contributed greatly to the publication's profitability. With breeding activity down, the winter season (December-April) has proven less lucrative with advertising, so we've spread publication dates a little further apart.
The issue currently at press is one of the magazine's "flipped issues." The February side is the Mares Issue with a rating of broodmare sires, a Legacy Mares article on the daughters of Tug Hill Commando, and a first-hand tribute by owner Bev Lesher to the brave mare Courage To Lead, who has done so much for the breed in international competition. Colorful and Working Western Morgans populate the March side of the flipped issue with a Legacy Mares article on Cotton Candy, and some of the best horsemanship articles we've ever published on Morgans trained in the vaquero tradition. We appreciate our readers' patience during this season and promise it will be rewarded with some truly awesome reading!
