Versatility Showcase - Working Western - Reining

Reining is the newest explosion in the Working Western World! Now with representation on the United States Equestrian Team and the only Western discipline to be recognized by the Federation Equestre International, reining has indeed become an international event.

The governing body for the division, the National Reining Horse Association, has designed a judging system that gives all breeds an equal chance at being judged on a equal basis by unbiased judges. If your Morgan can do the job, he WILL be scored accordingly! NRHA has even placed mules in the money! Quite refreshing for open western type competitions!

Ranchers have long known that their Morgans excel at ranch work. Many notable ranches introduced Morgan blood into their working stock to improve the quality of their herds. Some of the working ranches used, and still use, Morgans exclusively for their ranch work. So it is no surprise that the Morgan can excel in the reining pen! Their great athletic ability, sound confirmation, good work ethic, and sound mind make them an excellent choice for your next reining horse!
