Equitation is the horsemanship or art of riding and showing a horse. In this division, the rider is judged on hands, seat, legs, basic position, and the ability to make the horse perform any gait or test the judge may require. There are six seats for this division: saddle, western, hunter on the flat, hunter over fences, dressage, and reining. The division is open to riders 18 years and younger.
Morgans are widely used in lesson programs and can be used for any discipline. Their popularity is due to their non-intimidating size and friendly personality.
