Amount of prize money: 2016: Appointments USA Weanling Spectacular total prize money is $20,000.  The Uckele Yearling Sweepstakes - to be shown by an Amateur is $5,400.  Futurity paybacks: Approximately $18,000 for 33 futurity classes. Championship and Stakes paybacks: $2500 total.  New this year are $250 paybacks to the winner of each of the amateur championships as well as a $250 payback to the trainer of the amateur winner's horse.
Age group(s) eligible for competition: Weanling to four-year-olds and we give awards for Alumni in certain classes.
Must entrants be sired by nominated stallions? For futurity classes the stallions must be nominated. For the Appointments USA Weanling Spectacular the foals must be sired by one of the stallions sold in our SSA at the gala the year before. They do not have to be futurity eligible but most of them are to get money in two classes. For the Uckele class, the horses also do not have to be futurity eligible, but again, most are.
