In Memory: Megan Stucky
February 4th, 2019
Megan Stucky of Ridgefield, Washington, passed away on January 20, 2019 due to complications from the flu. Megan was an avid horsewoman for almost 25 of her 30 years. She was in horse 4-H and represented Clark County many times at the Washington State 4-H Championships. She continued to compete in adult competitions at the Clark County Fairgrounds, and took home numerous high-point awards.
The Morgan community will well remember Megan and her prized and deeply-loved black mare, Millennium’s Midnight Lady. Megan trained Lady from birth and competed with her in Western, Hunter Seat, Trail, Carriage, and Road Hack.
Megan seemed to have endless energy, she definitely had a smile for all. And, if help was ever needed, Megan was there. (Many didn't know she got her AA degree as a diesel mechanic. Handy girl!)
A memorial service is planned for February 8 at 7 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ridgefield. A donation to the Clark County Horse Council is asked in lieu of flowers.
