AMHA YAA Opens Applications for 2017 Leadership Council

April 17, 2017

The AMHA Young Adult Alliance (YAA), the leading group of 18-40 year old amateurs and professionals working to strengthen the Morgan breed announced the opening of applications for positions on their leadership council. Interested parties should submit a brief paragraph outlining their interest, experience, and qualifications to Katie Hodges at katie@morganhorse.com by May 15, 2017.

The AMHA YAA Leadership Council meets every three to four weeks via conference calls, traditionally in the evening at 9 p.m. Eastern, to discuss group initiatives. Applicants must be members in good standing with AMHA and should be able to regularly make the teleconference calls with advanced notice. Members of the leadership council are expected to join two sub-committees and actively participate on the council. Council members shall serve two-year terms with the option of reapplying to the committee.

"The Young Adult Alliance has accomplished quite a bit in the last few years, but there is so much more that we can do to help the Morgan breed," said Steven Handy, YAA co-chair. "Expanding our leadership council will enable us to take on larger projects and make an even bigger impact within the Morgan breed."

Interested applicants can learn more at http://www.morganhorse.com/yaa or by reaching out to the YAA Leadership Council via Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/AMHAYoungAdultAlliance.
