Attention AMHA Convention Attendees! Room Rate Extended to Feb. 8

February 7, 2018

We know you are coming but you haven’t all made your hotel room reservations yet! Please take the time out of your busy schedule to call and book your hotel rooms now at the host hotel (The Hyatt Regency, Lexington, Kentucky). The Convention will take place February 14-17.

The deadline for AMHA to meet its contracted room block has been extended to Thursday, February 8! Be sure to ask for your room to be counted towards the AMHA Annual Meeting and Convention room block rate of $139 per night (plus applicable taxes).

Friday the rooms will be released to the public and are anticipated to sell out due to other events downtown during our convention. Please help us meet our contract agreement and keep convention costs to a minimum by reaching our room block quota. (Booking via Travelocity or other online portals DOES NOT count toward our Association’s minimum room block.)

Reserve your room by calling the Hyatt Regency Hotel (401 Vine Street, Lexington, KY, 40507) at (859) 253-1234. BE SURE TO RESERVE YOUR ROOM UNDER THE AMHA ANNUAL MEETING AND CONVENTION ROOM BLOCK!

And if you haven’t registered for the event yet – there’s STILL time! Join us in the heart of the bluegrass to celebrate our love of the Morgan Horse during the AMHA convention “My Morgan, My Heart!”

Celebrate Valentine’s Day by taking your sweetheart on the “Early Bird Taste of Lexington Tour” which includes a tour of Spendthrift Thoroughbred Farm, Kesmarc equine rehabilitation center and The Castle. A Valentine’s Day lunch at a Castle will be something to remember.

The Convention kicks off on Thursday with Farm Visits to Blue Willow and Playmor Farms. Meet Stacey Hathaway and Nancy Delson from the Big E during the Welcome Reception with all your questions about their interest in homing the National Museum of the Morgan Horse (NMMH) collection at The Big E.

Friday you can experience the work done at the AMHA Standing Committee Meetings and First Quarter Board of Directors Meeting followed by countless choices of seminars and clinics as well as the Annual Membership meeting and election announcement. The annual Stallion Service Auction will top things off Friday night.

Saturday provides more seminars as well as the AMHA Open Forum--all topics welcome! Shop with our vendors, place your bids on unique silent auction items, and try your hand at the new “NMMH Image Identification Contest!” Free to enter and PRIZES awarded!

Saturday’s award luncheon will feature a review of the AMHA “Day of the Morgan” and the evening's annual awards gala always proves to be a special treat.
