In Memory - Richard A. Phillips

Richard A. Phillips, 73, of Marinette passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020 at his home.

He was born to the late Delbert and Grace (Seymour) Phillips on February 26, 1947. He graduated from Laona High School, UW-Marinette and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He spent his entire working career at Ansul/Tyco Co. of Marinette, retiring in 2006. Richard enjoyed his years of performing with Theatre on the Bay, bicycling, working out at the YMCA and reading. His special passion was Morgan Show Horses. He traveled across the U.S. attending horse shows and making many friends along the way. He faithfully supported the Wisconsin Badgers, Packers and Brewers, attending a few games and watching on TV.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Jerry Novak and William Bartelme.

He is survived by two sisters, Paulette Novak of Argonne, Wis. and Delores Bartelme of Seymour, Wis.; and a brother, Tim Phillips of Laona, Wis. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins and his many friends he met throughout his years at Ansul/Tyco and his travels.

Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the M & M YMCA in Menominee or the Cancer Care Center at Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area, Marinette.  Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home is assisting the family.
