Eighty years later, The Morgan Horse magazine continues to be the premier breed journal. Since that time, we have been your direct link to everything Morgan. Although The Morgan Horse has changed everything from format to editors during this time, one thing has been constant—its dedication and focus on the Morgan breed does not waver.

FAQ - The Morgan Horse magazine

The Morgan Horse is the Morgan breed’s official journal. It is a feature based print magazine published eight times a year and supported by subscribers and advertisers from the Morgan horse community. Here are some answers to frequently asked questions.

How do I subscribe?

A subscription is included as part of AMHA’s premium membership. The one-year rate for other members is $30/year, $45 for non-members. We also have subscriptions available for foreign readers. To subscribe go here.

What are the ad rates for The Morgan Horse magazine?

The Morgan Horse magazine offers color and black and white advertising in sizes ranging from a full page to 1/6 of a page. Ad rates for the magazine can be found here.

Does advertising have to be camera ready?

No. While camera ready art is welcome (see our Media Guide here) TMH has graphic designers on staff. Design services are included in our ad rates.

How are covers selected?

The front cover is sold and those sales are an important part of the magazine’s annual budget. Great effort is put into maintaining diverse cover content and attention grabbing images. Covers are usually sold far in advance. Front cover images will be chosen in consultation with magazine staff.

How do you email a photograph to AMHA for publication in the magazine?

Print publications depend on large, high resolution images. E-mailed photographs should be scanned at least 5 inches wide (larger is better) and 300 dpi. If you have multiple images to submit for articles or ads, please ask staff for access to TMH’s FTP site (it’s a dropbox).

Can my ad be on social media?

TMH posts ads featured in the current issue on the magazine’s Facebook page as a complimentary service to the advertiser.
