Battle of the Barns

"Battle of the Barns" Bucket Fundraiser for National Museum of the Morgan Horse at Pineland Farms Equestrian Center

Swing by the tables adjacent to the AMHA booth in the coliseum to see all the great offerings for the Battle of the Barns Bucket Silent Auction. All proceeds support the exhibit of the National Museum of the Morgan horse, which calls Pineland Farms Equestrian Center in New Gloucester, Maine home. The auction closes promptly at 6:15 p.m. (Local/Central time) on Friday, October 13 - so don't miss out! You do not need to be present at the time of the auction closing. We will contact you if you are the successful bidder. But last-minute bidding is very popular, so show up a little early for Friday evening's session so you can take home your favorite item!

Youth Council Homecoming Dance Away from Home - Thursday, October 12

Dance under the stars at the AMHA Youth Council's Homecoming Dance, Thursday night, October 12, from 7 - 10 p.m. (Local/Central time) in the Barn 3 Sales Arena.  Dress up or come as you are. All youth are welcome to attend, FREE admission. Donations to support the Youth Council will be accepted. Come and enjoy dancing, friendship, and some light snacks with fellow Morgan lovers. See you there!  

Rule Change

USEF Rules Forum & AMHA Town Hall Meeting - Wednesday, October 11

The annual USEF Rule Change Forum and AMHA Town Hall Style Open House will be held on Wednesday, October 11, immediately following the last class of the coliseum's morning session. There's a NEW location this year - we will meet in the Barn 3 Sales Arena.  Review pending rule changes and chat about all things AMHA, including the transition from STAR Shows to USEF Comp Lite competitions. Come participate in your membership organization! 


AMHA Youth of the Year Meet & Greet and AMHA Medal Mixer - Wednesday, October 11

The AMHA Youth invite you to celebrate! All youth attending the show are welcome to attend a mixer saluting the achievements of those participating in the Youth of the Year contest, the Junior Invitational, Individual Judging, and Gold Medal Equitation Finals. (Youth of the Year and Junior Invitational participants are required to attend.) Medal qualifiers pick up your SWAG BAG! Join us Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the Barn 3 Sales Arena for an ice cream sundae bar, raffles and FUN.  Meet new friends and get to learn more about these amazing programs!

Breeders Award

AMHA Breeders Award - Available for pick up at the show!

The AMHA Breeder’s Award Program enters its third year at the 51st Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show®. This program recognizes the breeders of the World Champions in over 160 designated classes across all divisions. AMHA is proud to recognize the time, effort, and cost that all  breeders contribute towards perpetuating our beloved Morgan horses. Breeders of those crowned Champions will receive a commemorative medallion designed by Maretta Kennedy, which will be available for pick up at the AMHA booth the day following your World Championship class. To see the 2023 designated classes, visit the AMHA Website, look in your show program, or stop by the AMHA booth in the coliseum. 


Youth Awards Gala - Friday, October 13

Youth of the Year and Junior Invitational contestants and their families, please join us in celebrating the achievements of this year's Youth of the Year and Junior Invitational contestants! Come have a bite to eat and watch as our contestants find out their results at our 2023 Youth  Awards Gala. Join us Friday from 5 - 6:30 p.m. in the Barn 3 Sales Arena. There is a BIG SURPRISE being announced this year - you DON'T WANT TO MISS IT!


AMHECT/WMF Stallion Service Auction - Kickoff Celebration on Saturday, October 7

Bidding begins on Saturday, October 7, at 9 a.m. (Central) and closes on Saturday, December 1, at 5 p.m. (Eastern)

The American Morgan Horse Educational Charitable Trust and World Morgan Futurity Stallion Service Auction have made some exciting changes for 2023. Bidding begins on Saturday, October 7, at 9 a.m. (Central) and continues through, Saturday, December 1, at 5 p.m. (Eastern). Seasons to 78 amazing stallions will be on the auction block. New bonuses have been added, too! Go online to the AMHA website to see the list of stallions and learn more about the auction enhancements. AMHA Youth of the Year Awards - Saturday 10/14

Twenty-one (21) young people from across the country are competing in AMHA's Youth of the Year contest.  This four-part test challenges contestants to prove their Morgan knowledge with a written exam, oral presentation, judging test, and riding pattern.  The winner of this prestigious title receives a unique custom-designed prize package.  Please join us on Saturday evening when we announce this year's AMHA Youth of the Year winner!  Awards presentation is the first event of the Saturday, Oct. 14 evening session in the coliseum.
