AMHA Members Nominated for the Highest of Honors Recognized by USEF

December 21, 2023

What a year it has been! The American Morgan Horse Association (AMHA) would like to extend its congratulations to Shannah Gish and Tim Roesink on being selected as USEF National Equestrians of Honor and to VL Todd Michael, owned by Leslie Kelley, on being selected as a nominee on the slate for the USEF National Horse of the Year!

Both the National Equestrian of Honor and the National Horse of Honor are noted as two of the most prestigious honors any individual or horse can receive in the equestrian sport. Each year, the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) honors individuals who have excelled amongst their peers in demonstrating sportsmanship, showing a high level of commitment, and mirroring the principles, vision, and mission of USEF. Recognizing the horses, USEF honors those that have held a distinguished competition record in the current year, having won at least once in a top-ranked USEF-licensed or FEI competition. Read more about each of the awards here.

Voting for these awards is open now through 11:59 p.m. EST. on December 29. Click to get your votes in today.

The National Horses of the Year will be announced at the 2023 SmartPak/USEF Horse of the Year Awards Dinner on Saturday, January 13, and the National Equestrian of the Year will be announced at the 2023 Pegasus Awards Dinner on Sunday, January 14 at the 2024 US Equestrian Annunal Meeting in Louisville, Kentucky.
